Just watched the new Star Trek Trailer.

HATE Northwest Airlines. They and Delta deserve each other.

Hotel very nice. Candlewood Suites. Big TV, DVD player, free internet, comfy bed, nicely set up kitchenette, lots of amenities. And CHEAP.

Now... Top Chef, then bed.

On a related note, there were some shenanigans at my voting station. Apparently, some of the McCain campaigners were crossing the "No Campaigning Beyond This Point" lines. It was bad enough that they set up a pavilion right in front of the building and were wearing name tags that looked a LOT like the Elections Officials' badges.

Several Elections Folks were reaming them out while I was in line.

So... We had one hell of a storm pass through earlier this afternoon.

As a result, I am now literally trapped in the office.

There are power lines across the tracks between the East and West Falls Church Metro stations, which means I cannot get to my bus.

A coworker who lives in Centreville called to say he was stuck at East Falls Church and it took him almost 2 hours to get a cab.

Plus, while my apartment appears to still have power (I'm remotely logged into my PC), according to the power company's outage web site, there is a MASSIVE outage 1 block away taking out all the traffic lights from the highway to my place.

i_am_racerx is going to pick me up in about an hour (if she can get here). We're probably going to grab some dinner and try to figure out how to get me home.

On a plus side... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY spitecandy!

I haven't been on LJ a whole lot the past week or two so I missed it.
